Igbo Union is not a Social Club. Igbo Union is for every Igbo son and daughter. Therefore every Igbo son or daughter is a member of the Igbo Union. All you have to do is register with your town/community/state organization.

Our History
Celebrating Our Igbo Union: A Legacy of Unity
For over 15 years, the Igbo Union has been the beating heart of Igbo life in Northern California — building community, honouring heritage, and shaping futures.
Founded by a small group of passionate Igbo sons and daughters who believed that “Onye wetara oji wetara ndụ” — culture is life — the Igbo Union has grown from a handful of families to a thriving organisation of 500+ members.
From our first New Yam Festival in 2010 to the landmark 2026 Igbo Cultural Festival, each year has deepened our roots and widened our reach. Our legacy is not just in our past — it is being written by our members every single day.
