How the Igbo Union collects, uses, and protects your information.
The Igbo Union respects your privacy. This policy outlines what information we collect when you interact with our website and how we use it.
We may collect basic contact information (such as your name, email address, and phone number) when you sign up for our newsletter, register for events, submit an inquiry, or place a merchandise order.
We use this information solely to communicate with you about Igbo Union programs, events, and community news. Festival registrants are also added to our community email list, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
The marketplace uses guest checkout. To quote delivery, take payment, fulfill an order, prevent fraud, and provide private order status, we process your contact details, United States delivery address, ordered items, payment status, and shipment information. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Stripe processes checkout, payment, receipts, and tax calculations. Printful receives the information required to make and ship your merchandise. Supabase stores the order, quote, event, and shipment records used to operate the store. Brevo sends the Igbo Union order confirmation. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.
Registration and newsletter submissions may be stored in a restricted Google Sheet and managed through Brevo, our email delivery and contact management provider. We do not sell your personal information. These providers receive only the information needed to operate registrations, notifications, and community communications.
Short lived shipping quotes are deleted after they expire. Paid order and payment records are retained for the period required by approved accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Private order links should be treated like receipts and shared only with people you trust.
You may request to update or remove your information at any time by contacting us at the address listed in the footer. Some transaction records may need to be retained where law or accounting obligations require it.
