Iri Ji Ohuru — the New Yam Festival — is the Igbo Union's flagship annual celebration of culture, community, and heritage. Held at Todos Santos Plaza in Concord, the festival brings together Ndi Igbo and friends from across Northern California for an unforgettable day.
Expect authentic Igbo cuisine, live traditional music and dance performances, masquerade displays, cultural exhibitions, a youth programme, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with the community. There is something for every age group — from storytelling for the little ones to vibrant cultural showcases for the young at heart.
